Getting it, in exchange for services, doesn’t mean that he got it illegally. What makes him illegally possessing it is, if his immigration status prohibits him. something the article doesn’t mention.
The Felony possession could have resulted when he pointed it at the woman and her father, falsely imprisoned them and threatened them.
What I find interesting is, if his dad is in the states, why did he get a student visa and how the hell did he get to own a tire shop.
He’s running guns out of that shop. He had handguns in his Avalanche according to the cops, at the hotel and 2 unidentified guys were with him, when he got booted.
I don’t know if Florida allows private party transfers without registration or not. In many states not going thru a FFL would make it an illegal transfer.
I know in Georgia you don’t need an FFL for a private party sale. And I’m pretty sure that’s the way it is in most ‘gun friendly’ states, which Indiana is. When firearms are shipped, technically, they have to be shipped to an FFL, who will then do a NICS check on you, like when you guy from Gunbroker, BW Outfitters, etc. An FFL holder will only ship to another FFL holder. But nothing prevents you from selling a gun to one of your buddies.

Why did the Women’s march need an assault rifle and handguns?
They caught him... Would that be the Tunisian native or the Saudi citizen?
I don’t know. The article states he was caught but wasn’t arrested until an incident later at his illegal tire store...
It’s hard to ask the right questions if you don’t read the full article first. My question, how did the woman have a gun when she pulled it on Alaklouk in his tire shop after the argument went bad? Also it said he was a native Tunisian, but had a Saudi citizenship, very complicated to figure out implications of that without knowing how he came by his Saudi citizenship. Interestingly, while he was at the hotel during the time of the Women’s March, apparently he did not do anything with the guns in the car??? And, indeed, he did not buy a gun, it was a trade for tire work. What is he, the tire supplier for the underworld, maybe they loaned him the money to set up shop.

I can tell you one thing, I would dig used tires out of the landfill myself before I bought one from a shop that looks like that.
Man I remember the days of the “Hush Thrush” - used to look at those up on the wall at the auto parts store.
70’s were good times for cars too - still had a lot of 60’s cars in cherry condition.

Sounds about right. I saw that Russell Johnson made it to 89. I remember seeing him in “The Horror at 37,000 Feet” when it first aired. Hard not to like that guy. Same with Alan Hale.

PS - The transfer occurred in Indiana.
Most likely the same way most people who have guns have guns. She probably keeps it at her house when she is home and then carries it in some kind of holster when she goes out.
