Hillary Clinton’s trip to India is evoking memories from her failed 2016 bid for president, as the Democrat makes headlines for blaming racism and misogyny for her loss while taking stumbles in front of the cameras.
During an appearance in India over the weekend, Clinton claimed she lost the 2016 presidential race in part because white women didn’t stand up to the men in their lives pressuring them to vote for Donald Trump.
“We do not do well with white men and we don’t do well with married, white women,” Clinton said at a conference in Mumbai, India. “And part of that is an identification with the Republican Party, and a sort of ongoing pressure to vote the way that your husband, your boss, your son, whoever, believes you should.”
Clinton had been asked why about 52 percent of white women voted for Trump, despite the “Access Hollywood” tape showing him using vulgar language in the days before the election.
Interviewed on stage by India Today editor-in-chief Aroon Purie, Clinton accused Trump of running a “backwards” campaign that appealed to racists and misogynists.

From her perfect understanding of politics, I suppose. It's the reason she's President today.
Seriously, I have never seen a politician reach the position she has with such a pathetic understanding of the simple mechanics of getting elected. When Trump saw a demographic he knew he wasn't going to win - black men, for example - his response was not to curse them, it was to reach out to them. "Give me a try," he said, "what have you got to lose?" And what has happened to unemployment in that demographic since then is nothing short of stunning, and he is nearly certain to pick up a much bigger fraction next time.
Contrast that to Hillary, whose campaign, and her identity politics in principle, carried a major current of pure vindictiveness. If she wasn't going to carry a major demographic - white men, for example - they were all class enemies and had to be destroyed. She didn't need to win that demographic, but she did need not to lose it badly, which she did. Can you imagine a politician with more than a room temperature IQ saying to a group of unemployed white coal miners that she was glad that they didn't have jobs? And then being surprised when that comment resonated throughout the entire working class?
The real problem is, of course, in her mirror. And there will be a woman President someday, but it won't be her, nor should it. But she was a fool to think that all women were going to flock to her banner for simply that reason when she did her filthy best to destroy that same solidarity with respect to Sarah Palin. It just doesn't work like that.
Stupid, too.
Married couples tend to vote the same way, because they have similar views of the world, that’s why they got married.
Not because of any “pressure”.
Who cares.
We elect a president for what he plans to do to help the people and the country.
And Trump promised and is working to MAGA.
