It provides much-needed resources to train students, teachers, and law enforcement officers on how to recognize and respond quickly to warning signs and provides funding for technology to keep schools secure. The bill also provides for the creation of an anonymous reporting system to provide tips about potential attacks and persons who may be inclined to commit acts of violence on campus.
Another feelgoodism band-aid.
In the most recent incident, the FBI, local police, school officials were aware, saw the warning signs and did little.

They wanted grant money from that Obama program. They ought to abolish it. It encourages corruption and ultimately caused 17 deaths.

Typical government “feel-good” BS. Spend taxpayers’ money on this BS? Disgusting but typical.

“..local police...”
To be fair, the ONLY ones who DID respond and went in were the local cops, while the “Resource Officer” (armed, and with body armor) and three Sheriff deputies (armed, and with body armor) pissed down their legs behind their cars ... you know, the cars with “To Serve and Protect” written on the doors...
Give the local cops credit for having balls. They did their job.
