Yes islam can be pacified. The Shias are proof of that. -- you call Shias pacifists? They are just less (far less) bad. However even they cannot negate how evil their "ideal man who we need to emulate", mo, was.
Assad is an Alawite and his regime allowed various religions including Christianity and Yazidism to live and pray peacefully.

Assad bombed and murdered Kurds and Christians in the past and will do it again. Assad never bombed Christians in Syria.

I am supporting the Alawites wish for peace, you are supporting the very warmongering Assad who sponsored Al Qaeda in Iraq to kill Iraqi Shias and to control the Alawite population.
Assad bombed Christians in Lebanon and persecuted Christians in Syria. It is well known fact he set up a KGB like collaborating false church in Syria.
He was and still is a dictator, for goodness sakes.
