If it’s possible that both are lying about this, it’s also possible they’re both telling the truth. I’d be willing to bet that if they were tried together in DC, the jury would find they both told the truth.

McCabe’s testimony was not public. But I would guess he also lied under oath.

We know McCabe is dirty from the IG's investigation. He was relieved of his duties and then fired as the deputy director of the FBI because of what was uncovered.
But the IG can only investigate and recommend, so Sessions, last summer, appointed an experienced DOJ prosecutor to work in tandem or parallel with the IG. He announced this in an interview a week or so ago.
Since the IG investigation has been going on before Trump was elected and the prosecutor has been on board since last summer, there may be indictments already brought down that remained sealed until the final report is released.
McCabe will be prosecuted eventually by this DOJ prosecutor. Comey is within the scope of the IG investigation, so he will be indicted too. I even think that Mueller will be dragged into this. At the very least, some or all of his work will be tainted. Defense attorneys will have a field day discrediting his witch hunt to save their clients.
After all this time, things will start to unfold pretty fast once the IG report is completed. Anticipated in the next month. The prosecutor will start charging and indicting people caught up in the web of the IG's investigation.
People who thought Jeff Sessions was asleep at the wheel, will be pleasantly surprised when his justice department starts going after the lawbreakers criminally.
Trump knows about this trap to turn the tide on the Deep State who have been trying to get him thrown out of office since the election. This is why he has toyed with the press with Tweets sounding like he wants to get rid of Sessions and they are having a feud. Trust me, if Trump wanted Session fired, he would have been gone already.
No, Trump and Sessions are playing rope-a-dope with the press and the democRATS. They've got a plan to turn the tables on the pursuers and turn them into the pursued.
When the IG report is finalized and released, the announcements of criminal indictments will start. Some people following this closely, think that some of the lesser players caught in the trap are cooperating with the prosecutors already.
It will be a very interesting spring.
