Obama directive easing school discipline for minority students fueling classroom chaos
The Washington Times ^ | March 21, 2018 | Valerie Richardson

The Trump administration is being accused of racism for targeting an Obama-era directive compelling schools to ease up on discipline for minority students — even though the policy has made life more difficult for kids, including minorities, stuck in increasingly unruly classrooms.

Ask Virginia Walden Ford, who runs a church-based after-school snack program in Little Rock. She was recently surprised when a young, fearful black girl turned up before the end of the school day and admitted she had skipped class.

Why? She had been involved in a fight the day before with another girl, but the school had refused to suspend her assailant, and she worried that the girl would try to pick a fight with her again.

“She had been continually bullied all year long,” recalled Ms. Ford, an EdChoice board member. “My advice was, ‘Talk to your counselor, teacher, parents,’ but she made it really, really clear to me that day that that’s not doing any good. Her school does not want to suspend students. They’re trying to keep the suspension rate down.”

The girl isn’t alone. Critics of the 2014 Dear Colleague — an advisory on non-discriminatory school discipline, issued by the Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights — say the policy has been enormously successful in reducing suspensions and expulsions, but it’s also made schools more chaotic, even dangerous.

By replacing suspensions with counseling, the schools have in some cases kept rowdy students in class while pushing out well-behaved students who either fear being attacked or have given up on trying to learn in poorly disciplined classrooms.

0bama's program has turned many schools over to the thugs and made learning for those wanting to learn nearly impossible.

Easing up on minority thug students who disrupt and create kaos in the class room and school, this is obamas legacy to us all.

Obama had zero known constitutional authority to issue any directive to any local school classroom teacher, period. But of course his entire Occupancy of our White House was unconstitutional...and the GOP-E and the damned courts covered it up....enabled it... and protected Obama’s IslamoNazi invasion for the entire 8 year regime .

The WashDC swamp has thousands of rabid anti-American alligators and other sold-out traitors.. that we are praying DJT removes.....and imprisons as indicated. Drain the damned Swamp, Presisdent T!

Most morons know that refusing to punish bad behavior only encourages more bad behavior. By tolerating bad behavior by minorities means you hold them to a lower standard, because they are inferior and are not capable of behaving any better.

Then they call me a bigot.

“He [Eric Hoffer] is, however, unswerving in his conviction that no excuses, and no elaborate sociological rationalizations, can be tolerated that would provide a different standard of behavior for the Negro or any other minority than for white.”

You can’t discipline kids?
Wait...we can’t have such ‘racist’ revealing statistics?
But, is it racist if it’s actually true?

Or... if they kept statistics, would it point more to fatherless or, lack of involved fathers in children’s lives problem?

I would also suspect that it is lack of CHRISTIAN AND WESTERN CULTURE influence too.

God knows people need boundaries.

God IS the Father.

Obama is of Satan.

There was an article about this shared here earlier this morning. Really makes you think of the old A&E show “Investigative Reports” and how it would apply to this issue and last month’s tragedy in Florida.

Agreed...This program was brought up in at least two articles I read last month on the school shooting regarding the hands off policy of student thugs by school administrations, sheriff Israel and his deputies, and politicians.

The PROMISE program provided school districts with lots of federal tax dollars if they reduced their rates of suspensions and expulsions of minority’s students. Why isn’t the name of this program well known by now? It is what allowed Cruz to stay in school after many infractions. Here is the description from the Promise Program web site.

PROMISE Program (Preventing Recidivism through Opportunities, Mentoring, Interventions, Supports & Education) represents the most comprehensive thinking available to address socially unacceptable or illegal behavior, targeting both short and long term academic success, aligning best practice models and Restorative Justice principles, and developing pro-social and resiliency skills.

Basically PROMISE means ... do not suspend, expel or refer to the police

Collusion is the Sin-Of-The-Month again in the political theater posing as the federal government.

Of course the charge of collusion as used today is focused only on the fake allegations against President Trump.

But for real World Class collusion look no further than the GOPe and democrats allowing Barack Obama to be sworn in as president
and serve as president when they all know that he was not constitutionally qualified.

Traitorous republicans colluded with traitorous democrats to perpetuate the biggest hoax in the history of the world.

Every damn one of them who allowed Obama to become president should be found guilty of treason and hanged by the neck
on a gallows on the Capitol Mall in Washington, DC for all to see.
