y’all see this crap? Even if Trump had vetoed, the Reps wouldn’t have defended his veto - and it would have passed anyway.

He should have vetoed it regardless and let the Repubs show their true colours. At least Trump would have done the right thing and the blame would be on the right heads. Everyone is ticked at Trump when the fault lies with the scoundrels that came up with this and voted “yes” in the senate and house.
This would have put the president in a better position for November and encouraged voters to elect someone who is going to fight by the president’s side.
