The most underappreciated Beatles song: The Night Before When I saw the "Help" in March, 1966, I thought that was their best song in the movie, and I liked it better than most of the songs they had bouncing around the Top 40 charts at the time. But it hasn't made a lot of "oldies" playlists in subsequent decades.

Believing it to be Knights the song had a medival/middle-ages quality to me.Same here. I believe I've thought of it that way too long to change that.
I blame Emerson, Lake & Palmer. Their song Lucky Man, released just three years after NIWS, seemed like a bookend to NIWS and has that same middle-ages quality in my mind. In spite of the fact that the hero was killed by a bullet! lol
