The world is so overpopulated this thing will kill million’s.
My time & location; 10:35AM GMT southeast Michigan near Detroit.
Tiangong-1 location; was south of the Ohio border, flying west to east, altitude 165.6 km (103 miles).
Someone else reported 6 minutes horizon to horizon. We picked up sight around 15 degrees sw and lost sight maybe 70 degrees east.
I think you’re going to be safe. The two tracking agencies I’m seeing show it going down in the South Pacific. They are only off from one another by about 15 minutes now.
Go here: http://www.satview.org/?sat_id=37820U
Scroll down, there are two scenarios.
The Chinese aren’t “doing” anything. The station is uncontrolled, and has been for a couple of years. It’s tumbling and has no radio contact with earth. It will reenter where it does based on dumb luck.
Should be visible over Los Angeles now. I’m going to see on this next pass if its daylight visible.
Here is a conspiracy theory for you a nuclear attack by China posing as an out of control space station, who knows whats in it? mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Those poor Chinese cosmonauts!
Cool site. Thanks!
Detroit, 42.3314° N, 83.0458° W.
Too far north.
Never happen.
Those poor Chinese cosmonauts!
Not to worry!
They have parachutes and will jump at the last minute.
Would be cool if they landed in my yard!
Has that station finally stopped moving? Where did it break up? Any debris?
A quick search revealed that the ESA put a revised estimate of later today (April) or early tomorrow for the Tiangong-1 to finally come down. 7:25pm EST is the new median projected termination.
Happy Easter everyone!
Here is a link to a real time Tracking Site. They track other orbiting objects as well, a good bookmark for you Astronomy links folder.
Here is their link to Tiangong-1:

The Station is currently crossing the Western Pacific. It will be going over Sacramento and Las Vegas on this pass. They expect it to come down on a later pass. I do not know if it will be visible, but if so, Califorians may be able to see it overhead in about 20 to 30 mi.
Its not showing on the n2yo site in my last post. Was that it?
Satview has it over California right now.
It shows again on all three links currently approaching Brownsville.
OUR Brownsville?!
“Satview has it over California right now.”
Yeah but that’s old news, because it orbits the earth every 88 minutes. The two sources that are monitoring it’s destruction have both moved it up. They now have it coming down about midnight tonight (UTC) , both in the South Atlantic. I guess it’s hard to accurately determine the trajectory with any real precision until it starts getting some atmospheric drag.
