"If The Compost is denyin’"

"The Compost is lyin’"

You left out the last line....."The Compost is dyin'".

As are all the leftist print media, both news magazines and daily newspapers. Dropping circulation, reduced ad revenue.

My local newsrag (The Tacoma Tribune) has so shrunk in size that it is probably no more than a dozen sheets. The one I used to read (the Seattle Post-Intelligencer) has gone "web only".

WaPo was dying before being bailed out by Bezos. Now they have no need to be anything but a Microphone for “progressives”. Similar to the bailout by Carlos Slim for the NYTimes.

Our local liberal rag bought out the only other remaining major local newspaper - one that was fairly centrist.
Now all we get is the ultra-leftist slant on every story and issue.
The only reasons we really keep it are the crosswords and comics!

I remember the days when you could spend an entire cold, rainy or snowy Sunday morning enjoying your morning coffee
while working your way through the 3 or 4 pound Sunday paper.

Now it is barely big enough to cover the bird cage floor or wrap a few small fish.
