A London-based lawyer was ordered to serve 30 days in prison after a federal judge Tuesday handed down the first sentence in special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
Alex van der Zwaan, 33, a son-in-law of a prominent Russian-based banker, pleaded guilty Feb. 20 to lying to the FBI about his contacts in September and October of 2016 with a business associate of onetime Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and with Manafort’s deputy, former Trump aide Rick Gates. Prosecutors said van der Zwaan also destroyed emails the special counsel had requested.

How much did this cost the American taxpayer for 30 days in jail? Mueller is a clown.
You could do worse with a drunk driving charge.

There's a damn pattern of incompetence within the FBI.
The ‘take-away’ from this whole circus is this:
if you are ever questioned by Federal law enforcement, use one of the Hillary replies, “I don’t recall”, “I really not sure”, “I don’t remember”, “Wiped, like with a cloth?”

30 days in prison, or 30 days in jail? In Washington State I believe prison is reserved for people convicted and sentenced to more than one year.
30 days in jail is like a DUI sentence, it sounds sort of basic.

I’ve read about incidents in the past where they drop the idea when a potential victim insists on recording the interview, with counsel.
