In terminal medical cases, doctors often deal with patients who move through “stages” that begin with denial. These so-called Kübler-Ross stages can be a long road toward acceptance. A weird form of Kübler-Ross seems to have taken hold of the media. Rather than refusing to accept indicators of impending death, many journalists and analysts seem incapable of accepting signs that the Trump presidency could survive.
That painful process was more evident Tuesday night when the Washington Post reported that special counsel Robert Mueller told the White House last month that Trump was not considered a “target” but only a “subject” of the investigation. After a year of being assured that “bombshell” developments and “smoking gun” evidence was sealing the criminal case against Trump, the dissonance was too great for many who refuse to accept the obvious meaning of this disclosure.

When and if Mueller targets a Democrat, they’ll act to get the investigation closed down. Until then, they are happy letting this twist in the wind, distracting Trump and everyone.

And they forgot that POTUS is elected by Electoral Vote (giving the entire country a voice), not popular vote (giving a dozen counties power over everyone).
They’re not going to give up though, so until a Leftist _is_ elected POTUS, they will fight any way possible (short of open actual lethal violence...for now) to shove any declared usurper out of “their” Oval Office.
It’s not about rational debate according to rules & reason.
It’s about The Revolution, against the designated (and unexpectedly real) opposition, in pursuit of creating what they don’t realize is parody.

Mueller's mission is a steady drip drip drip during the entire Trump administration. His mission is to create major FUD ..fear uncertainty and doubt. He has succeeded to an extant especially when he coordinates with CNN and other major media actors.
The Dems capture Congress and move to impeach.... Once Trump is enmeshed in the impeachment process how can he possibly run for re-election? Of course he can legally do it, but practically he cannot.
I quite often flip through the news channels. It does seem that every time I look at cnn, they are bashing Trump. It seems that every time I look at Fox News, they have a commercial on.
That’s an easy one.
When he’s in jail, and President Hogg takes his place.
Remember Clinton. Impeachment made him way more popular as many people felt there as an overreach. I wasn’t one of them but his popularity went way up after the House impeached him.
If the Dems impeach Trump, I think you would see the same thing.

If the Democrats win back the House and impeach Trump, the media will be cheering them on. How the public will react, I don't know.
Mueller saying that Trump is not a criminal target is nothing to be relied on...he can always change his mind. Maybe the idea is to induce Trump to let down his guard.
I agree, they never will accept that Trump is not a criminal and general low-life.
Maybe they will eventually accept that he is not a target of investigation - like we mostly have with zerO.
