Chinese crime syndicate’s alleged pot grows lead to seizure of 100 homes in Sacramento

In the largest operation of its kind, federal agents swept across the Sacramento region Tuesday and Wednesday targeting about 75 homes serving as suspected marijuana growing sites that authorities say are operated by a Chinese organized crime syndicate.

The raids, which involved more than 500 federal, state and local agents, hit homes from Elk Grove to Sacramento to rural areas and are aimed at forcing the forfeiture of about 100 homes to the federal government, an effort valued at millions of dollars in real estate and marijuana.

“This represents one of the largest residential forfeiture efforts in the nation's history,” the U.S. Justice Department said.

The investigation began in 2014 as investigators began to see an uptick in marijuana growing operations concealed in residential neighborhoods throughout the Sacramento area, and escalated in the last year as agents used utility bills and sophisticated financial analysis to track millions of dollars coming from China into the United States for the purchase of the homes.

The buyers, typically Chinese citizens in the country legally, are suspected of turning the homes into pot-growing operations that then shipped the marijuana through trucks, mail and couriers to the Eastern seaboard for sale, authorities say.

This week‘s raids resulted in the seizure of more than 26,830 marijuana plants, 343 pounds of processed marijuana, nearly $67,000 in cash and 13 firearms, officials say, with those numbers expected to grow as the final tallies are calculated.

Median home price in Sacramento is $305K.

That would make this home seizure at $22.9M

Not counting other property like cars and guns.

Whenever I mention the MASSIVE INVASION OF CHINESE CROOKS AND SPIES happening RIGHT NOW in the United States, I am told these are wealthy Chinese who are able to immediately purchase expensive homes upon their arrival here..

OH REALLY?

My spidey sense tells me that CHINA IS BANKROLLING THIS INVASION and this story proves me right.

Conquering America, ONE HOUSE AT A TIME.

This explains a article I saw about home prices in CA going up because Chinese are buying houses and letting them sit emply.

Should have just bought the licenses and grown it legally in California. Lot cheaper.

The raids, which involved more than 500 federal, state and local agents,...

I thought Moonbeam wasn't allowing any cooperation with the Feds!? I guess he doesn't consider Chinese criminals as equals to Latin American criminals.

Can’t argue that.

But we are stealing from the Chinese mafia, so it’s okay.

Yes, and the media plays it that the Chinese are just looking for a “safe” place to put their money if things go wrong in China. Yeah, right. Chinese women are among the worst abusers of the anchor baby business. This s*** needs to stop.

Same thing happened a few months ago in Grays Harbor county, WA. Lots of chinese bought homes for cash and were found growing pot in them. Busted several of them, big operation.

So who do they get to trim all that pot? vast legions of dreadlock hippy boys and girls that do not care that they are minions of Chinese organized crime ? Or are the trimmers vast legions of chinese tourists-immigrants like those that staff L&L bbq’s ? People need to know , pot does not process itself . There is the weakness in the operations . Lose lips sink grows .

Moonbeam considers Asians as even exceeding white privilege. Until the "smarts" can be bred out of Asians, they will also be hated by the leftists.

“100 Years of Shame”

That’s the period that Chinese view The West was beating up on them, getting them hooked on Opium, exacting unfair trade concessions, etc.

They aim to do that to “us” now.

See..?

Their mercenary motive is quite enough but it’s really MORE than that.

They see some principle in it.

Just rent the house, cut out the floor and bypass the electric meter. 24 hour a day sunshine and plant growth. Eventually the power company finds out.

Seized 100 homes?

This is Civil Asset Forfeiture.

Our Federal Storm troopers should give all this back. And apologize to our Chinese friends.

/sarc or no /sarc. Can’t decide.

Houses are limited in size. Perhaps they should have used solar panels with batteries to keep the electricity going 24/7. Generators are loud.
