Well, I also have you beat by 20 years in the age department too. But congrats to both you and your parents. It makes a difference to our families. We have three wonderful children and collectively, they have five of their own. And because they are all within driving distance, we see them all routinely. My dad died when I was 32, I’m just happy to have lived to see our children grow up and be successful in their own right. To have the grandkids, is just an extra blessing.

Yes, and the older I get, the more I understand it for what it is. We had Easter Breakfast with our son and his family (three boys). Then we picked up our youngest daughter who is single, and the three of us drove to our oldest daughter’s place and had Easter Dinner with her family (a boy and a girl). And the capper was that the weather here in the SF Bay Area was stellar!

My wife and I are celebrating 32 years of marriage next week.
While there are sometimes bumps in the road, when you remember that God put you with this woman for life, and that He loves you and wants the best for you, any disagreements seem to be petty and unworthy.
In my experience “Pride” is the biggest danger to marriages.
