Why hasn't Nunes asked Trump to release the documents?

Trump has the Constitutional authority to declassify and publicly release any document in the Executive Branch of government.

Trump is Sessions boss.

If Sessions refuses to give the document to Nunes, then Trump can just keep firing people until someone obeys.

Good idea. Get rid of the swamp creatures by firing them all. Self selection.

“Why hasn’t Nunes asked Trump to release the documents?”

Good question.

This whole situation reminds me of the first time I saw The Sting, or Criminal, where you have good guys posing as bad guys and bad guys posing as good guys, and the audience are the last ones to find out which is which.

It’s tempting to join in with all the guessing and be an armchair quarterback and try to look smart, but if there are sting operations underway (and there better be) why would I be in the know?

I would assume, since I’m clearly in the audience, I’ll be among the last to know who was playing what part, and who got played. I think Trump might have a surprise ending for us, just like in the movies.
