The White House is preparing talking points designed to undermine Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein's credibility, according to sources familiar with the plan. The plan calls on President Donald Trump's allies to cast Rosenstein as too conflicted to fairly oversee the Russia investigation. The talking points are still in their preliminary form, and not yet finalized, people familiar with their preparation said. The White House and the Justice Department declined to comment. Already, a number of Trump's associates have called for Rosenstein's firing in appearances on television and in public remarks over the past few days, but not all of them did so at the request of the White House.
As special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Trump encroaches further into the President's inner circle, his allies outside the White House are ramping up their efforts both to defend him and to encourage a tougher stance against a probe they claim has dramatically overstepped its bounds. FBI agents relied on search warrants that had been executed by the US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York in conducting the raid. They obtained the warrants after receiving a referral from Mueller's office.

wait - what happened to firing Mueller? the long string of “reportedly” stories they float to give the impression of devious things going on in the background, day after day, need to be seen for what they are. maybe we should number them, so we can refer to them quickly as the same memes seem to pop up in a rotation.
Rosenstein committed a felony when he presented the dirty dossier to the FISA judge as confirmed evidence. Rosenstein was fully onboard the pro-Hillary anti-Trumper Deep State juggernaut at the time. When this information became public, Sessions rushed to the microphones to praise Rosenstein in frankly embarrassingly hyperbolic language.
Sessions is working against Trump, and Q is propping Sessions up. You are being played.
Rosenstein signed at least one of the rotten FISA warrants under scrutiny.
He IS conflicted and he should have recused himself.

Sounds like they are back spying on Trump.
I find it hard to believe that what Rosenstein released to Nunes and Gowdy yesterday is legitimate. I am more likely to believe that Rosenstein altered or had someone alter documents to mislead Nunes.
If Rosenstein altered documents or presented altered documents, someone is going to prison.
If Sessions were on Trump’s side, he’d have fired Rosenstein long ago:
‘Joe diGenova on Hannity: “Comey is dirty, Rosentein is compromised. Jeff Sessions has a duty to fire Rosenstein NOW... It’s HIS job, not Trump’s”’
TO FIRE MUELLER:
Since Attorney General Jeff Sessions did recused himself from all campaign-related investigations, Mueller is reporting to the deputy attorney general, Rod Rosenstein. According to the regulation, Rosenstein needs to fire Mueller... yesterday.
Only the attorney general can fire a Justice Department special counsel with a good reason: “misconduct, dereliction of duty, incapacity, conflict of interest, or for other good cause.” I believe these present AMPLE good reasons to totally end special counsel investigation.
This is a very dicey moment for the president, politically.
From all I’ve read and observed, and absent something major we don’t know, Rosenstein ought to withdraw from overseeing Mueller.
If the president fires him, the political fallout will be worse than ANYTHING we’ve seen to date. I don’t think everyone gets how little support he has in Washington. What we think about that, or what we think should happen is beside the point right now. Of course we’re furious, and for just that reason may not see what the best options are for him, for the presidency, for the country.
