How do they expect to take guns from “our cold dead hands”? Shoot us? Stab us? Run over us with cars?
But the Teacher who was filmed “firing” a toy gun at the image of the President during the Inauguration, got a pass.
They’re violent psychopaths.
They'd better check both hands. We're two-fisted patriots. 
That image is still up on Twitter - despite them getting their panties in a wad over this “threat” to Veruca Hogg...

They under the delusion that the military and law enforcement will do their bidding.
In reality, a good portion of those groups would be joining us in resistance.
This nation has a pretty long tradition of “burning in effigy” going back to the founding days. This is a form of that. Unless he said “and I’m going to do the same to Hogg for real!” then it’s not threatening, it’s symbolism. You can feel free to condemn the shooter and his message, even shun him (see Kathy Griffin) but he’s allowed to say it.
This will go both ways. In the event that corrupt tyrants take power in our country and try to violate the Constitution, there are people in uniform, both military and police, who would eagerly jump at the chance to be our own jackbooted thugs. There are also real Americans in uniform who will certainly take their oath seriously. It all comes down to numbers. Are there enough jackboots in uniform to defeat even 3% of real Americans? Freedom's enemies believe they have the numbers. Occasionally, when they succeed in a particularly evil abuse of power, I'm curious enough to want to know whether they are right. Usually I pray that none of us will never find out.
The shooter needs MORE range time.
