Sources tell ABC News President Donald Trump spoke Friday with his personal attorney Michael Cohen who, according to court documents, has been under criminal investigation for months, largely centered on his business dealings. Sources say Cohen still remains Trump's attorney.
The New York Times first reported the phone call between Trump and Cohen.

This was the purpose of the illegal raid — get dirt on whomever so as to leak it.
The entire basis — a payment to Stormy Daniels is not illegal. It is not an FEC violation to pay anyone anything if the payment has a purpose outside of the election.
The Trump brand is a valuable commercial brand. Cohen is the GC for that brand. He protected the brand.
The FEC has already said this is not a violation.
And yet an outrageous search was conducted.
Rod should be fired. Sessions should man up and do it.
The Cochran documents should be returned and restitution paid.

There is no way Cohen could be that stupid.
I think Cohen paid Stormy to hush up an affair with someone else, not Trump.
Trump says he didn’t know anything about it. And apparently Trump didn’t sign anything.
I think Stormy realized Cohen was Trump’s lawyer and that she had gotten a check from Cohen. And realized that she could work with the democrats and the democrats would pay her to pretend there is a Trump story there.
Cohen can’t say anything because of client attorney privilege to whoever the check really was for.
And the Democrats have been able to used Stormy’s fake story, now to go after Cohen and see what dirt they can get.
You may be onto something. President Trump always stated he knew nothing about the money or where Cohen got the money. What you stated makes sense knowing how low & dirty Hillary & Obama plus their minions play.
