Please define “SPED”.

Apparently it's a small Club and we ain't in it! I'm even more puzzled by the answer to your 1st inquiry which implies that repetition resolves the question. Que?

Secure the prisoner(s) (of war); search them (for weapons, equipment, documents, etc.); keep them silent (so they can’t cook up stories and make plans of escape or assault), segregate them (genereally, seperate the officers from the NCOs from the lower enlisted—break up their chain of command), “speed” them to the rear area for processing and interrogation.

POWs get to keep their helmets while at the front until they reach the rear for their personal protection. Maybe a water bottle, too. But the whole process is meant to break down their ability, unity, and will to fight and send them to the rear areas as soon as possible so any info gained is as current as possible.
