Why not (repeatedly) write/call the White House with your concerns rather than spamming the hell out of every Syria thread on the board ?

Of course, you’d miss out on a lot of sarcasm practice doing that, but at least your two cents would be directed to the guys with the actual intel and responsibility over all this.

Because at this point you know just as much about the rhyme/reason re what’s going on over there as the rest of us here, which is damned close to zero.

Nothing personal, FRiend - it’s just tiresome and unhelpful.

You spam the same crap on every Syria thread - we know your opinion.

In what way does what happens in Syria affect the vital interests of the United States?

Good thing we don't have $21 Trillion in debt, right?

The money's all been spent on shiny new military things. We need to clear the old stock to make room.

Good! Let the Ruskies deal with the raghead scum...

Now we can transfer all those troops in the ME to our southern border where the REAL danger to our Nation exists...

The Israeli pipeline has too many points where it can be sabotaged. Seems better to have a facility for loading LNG onto tankers, from which they can go wherever gas is wanted.

Well, look at that! Iran and Iraq both benefit from the Russian-backed pipeline. And the US-Saudi backed one depends on the US and Saudi Arabia controlling Syria. I’m not liking being on the wrong side of history.

You better look out.

I was blessed out by a certain troll for even daring to suggest that there is a White Genocide in South Africa.

I wasn’t familiar with the troll’s name, so he must have come from DU.

Not a conspiracy as far as I know, I’ve seen a lot of stuff supporting it.

Not Revelation_ - we’re not there yet. Well, except for the Laodicean church, that is.

Ezekeil 38, OTOH, with Iran, Turkey, Russia continues to form up. I’m waiting for Libya to grow closer to this group since they are mentioned, too. (Put or Phut in various translations)

China’s Debt-to-GDP is at 260%. Projected to rise to 327% by 2022. Even as the debt ratio is going up, economic growth is slowing.

Take a look at this Bloomberg video: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/videos/2017-12-06/china-s-debt-to-gdp-ratio-at-260-video

There is a much bigger chance for a debt crisis in CHINA than in the USA.

It was soooo great we bombed every Serb bridge over the Danube.

Plus, we picked up GREAT "Ethnic Albanian" allies, which a rich tradition of feuding and organized crime. It wasn't like the Serbs rescued our WW2 fliers, or anything. And then, WHO could ignore that we had so many critical material interests at stake there..?

Or that the decision to commit US troops to combat there had been made literally as Bill Clinton was being fellated under his oval office desk..?

We've gotten SO much valuable stuff from there since then.

And NOW..? They ALL love us, there..!

The topper:

US military people returned IMMEDIATELY and it was all super cheap.

I don’t know why the Russians would back either pipeline. I would think their interests would best be served by no pipleline or prolonged turmoil to keep pipelines from being built.

Yes. And both enemy pipeline proposals through Syria can be sabotaged at any time - and will be - no matter who “wins” the war there. This, both sides will be losers. Only Russia will still be able to supple reliable fuel to Europe. The Israeli proposal is a good one but still vulnerable to Turkish nut regime attack ( though the IDF and Greeks would crush the Turk jerk at his first attack, he’s crazy enough to still dare try it,). Russia winds up the winner of at least 90 percent of the chips ev n if the Israeli- Cypriot- Greek pipe ever gets built. Syria is russia’s Blocking stone against any serious energy supply competition in European markets. Plus it’s a great warm water port for the Russian navy. Russia isn’t going to give Syria up

You mean the Russians might believe that their best interests are served in keeping Syria blowed up and a pipeline never built?

Naw, couldn't be...

You have a good theory. Putin MAY ultimately get what he covets with our help. Even if Assad were removed, Russia may have the upside if they can control who replaces him although Afghanistan proved that may not be so easy.

Also, take a look at this article: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-02-08/sizing-up-china-s-debt-bubble-bloomberg-economics

In particular the chart under “2. Earning Small Bucks, Borrowing Big Bucks”. The x-axis is debt to GDP. China has more debt than the USA. The y-axis in income. The USA per capita income is 4 times as large as China’s.

Which country would you rather be, USA with less debt and 4 times the income level, or China with more debt and 1/4 the income level?

Two countries stand out on this chart. 1) Saudi Arabia with relatively little debt and high income [VERY GOOD]. 2) China with high debt and little income [VERY BAD].
