If you are explaining, you are losing.
Your point being???
We’ll see if this is just political theatre in advance of the mid-term elections. Lot of table pounding, letter writing to impress the folks back home and then... absolutely nothing.
Im there for Jim Jordan and Louie..
This is a joke, right? What about raiding a lawyer’s office? How about being more comprehensive.
Just do it. Stop bloviating about it.
2) If on the other hand, there is reasonable suspicion or probable cause of malfeasance by a CURRENT high government official, GOP Lawmakers don't need to clamor for permission to investigate with this silly "Special Counsel" nonsense. The Constitution gives Congress SOLE power to impeach (charge), try, and remove such current high-ranking government official.
Congress can defund Mueller...do it.
bttt
Rosenstein, the acting AG, doesn’t want an investigation into the FISA warrant felony he committed. Therefore we won’t get one.
‘My name is Rod Rosenstein. I like threatening Congressmen, accepting bribes, authorizing illegal searches and seizures, and plotting to overthrow a sitting president. My friends and I can break any laws that we want because I run the DoJ, and it’s not like I’m going to prosecute myself.’

1) Why are GOP Lawmakers clamoring for permission to investigate a crime done by a PREVIOUS high-ranking government official (or lower-level current official)? That would be the job of the FBI.
2) If on the other hand, there is reasonable suspicion or probable cause of malfeasance by a CURRENT high government official, GOP Lawmakers don’t need to clamor for permission to investigate with this silly “Special Counsel” nonsense. The Constitution gives Congress SOLE power to impeach (charge), try, and remove such current high-ranking government official. Thus, CONGRESS needs to conduct its OWN investigation using its OWN hired investigators for a current high-ranking government offical.
Obama will die of old age before he is reprimanded or punished.
I see it that Trump could use a little noise on the Hill in his favor. The time is right as the Mid-Terms loom.
Not sure what go-along-to-get-along ever netted us, nor the ensuing silence that the RINO/UniParty was permitted to enjoy for 16 years, under Bush and Obama.
“Political theater” is the name of the game, however, our side seldom made role call, until the Freedom Caucus finally engaged.
Point being it ain’t gonna happen. If you have to sell it, nobody is buying. The body politic best serves itself with a Trump constantly wounded just enough to slow him down and make him expend much of his energy and capital in defending himself. They will not lighten his burden by giving him a counterbalance.
Good!!! Keep up the pressure!!!! The chorus needs to be deafening so Sessions will friken hear it!
(in before the nattering nabobs of negativism)
(ooops too late)
The complaint is that Sessions should be credited for appointing one more fox to guard the hen house.
Huber may turn out to be cute as a button, but the diminished trust in the NeverTrump contingency embedded inside the Justice Department does not really call for one more FBI guy to investigate other FBI guys.
The embeds are all still there, after all, and the Statute of Limitations clock is running, and Sessions dutifully defends the embeds and refuses multiple appeals for an outside independent prosecutor. Go figure.
30% of Trump’s first term has been has been blocked by one department. Jeff Sessions leads that damned pack. Rather cheerfully, he leads it.
I have no doubt that these five or six are not doing this for political theatre. They've been active on this from the get go.
Save your criticisms for all the rest of them. Start with Ryan, McCarthy and work your way down through all the RINOs. They're the ones who are allowing this to happen.
