Global warming is mixing up nature's dinner time, study says

Washington – Global warming is screwing up nature’s intricately timed dinner hour, often making hungry critters and those on the menu show up at much different times, a new study shows.

Timing is everything in nature. Bees have to be around and flowers have to bloom at the same time for pollination to work, and hawks need to migrate at the same time as their prey. In many cases, global warming is interfering with that timing, scientists said.

A first-of-its-kind global mega analysis on the biological timing of 88 species that rely on another life form shows that on average species are moving out of sync by about six days a decade, although some pairs are actually moving closer together.

“There isn’t really any clear indication that it is going to slow down or stop in the near future,” said study lead author Heather Kharouba, an ecologist at the University of Ottawa.

For example in the Netherlands, the Eurasian sparrow hawk has been late for dinner because its prey, the blue tit, has – over 16 years – arrived almost six days earlier than the hawk.

Because of the small number of species involved in small areas over different studies, Kharouba’s team could not find a statistically significant link between temperature and changes in how species sync together. But what she saw, she said, “is consistent with climate change.”

I had global warming all over my car this morning. I half expect to see polar bears or a wooly mammoth soon.

But you won't let THAT stop you from making a ruckus to get funding, will you?

Nature has been adjusting for thousands of years, and will continue to do so.

So until you can tell me with a high degree of certainty whether it will rain next weekend, sit down and shut up.

The critters and creatures also object to daylight savings time because it messes up everything.

They seem to have “studies” confused with the musings at middle-school pot parties.

What a load of horeseshlt. Except during times of severe drought, "prey" has always tried to avoid being at the watering hole at the same time as "predator". Its called "survival instinct"

We couldn’t find a significant link...but it’s Climate change.

Global warming should be banned. Problem solved.

How surprising ;p ...considering the tiny amount of warming that has actually happened.

Let's all give a big hand to "Scientific Anecdotalism", the latest release in the Settled Science series, as written, reviewed and published by the good folks at Climate Science 'R' Us...

“Well, I just don’t know what we’ll do. There are so many more blue tits. The tit problem is just getting out of hand” said one ornithologist.

“The increase in Blue tits has led to a decrease in Great Tits. there simply aren’t enough spiders to go round. “

LOL! Reminds me of the car shows we used to go to at Rockland Lake in Valley Cottage, NY in mid October. The time of year when Canadian geese flying south would use that park as a "rest area". Don't know how many gallons of mist and wipe we went through. And of course any attempt by the state DEC to alleviate the problem, the local bunny huggers would bitch and moan, they would hold "peace for the geese" rallys, while at the same time complain about how the bird poop causes a biohazard.

We need a gubermint program to develop a calendar app to help the hongry predators show up on time. Or maybe one that makes reservations.

We’re e messing up other critters dinner.

Supposedly because we’re heating the weather.

That’s the oldest fallacy in the world: assuming correlation is causation.

One doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with the other.

Climate change alarmists are peddling propaganda, not science.

“Global warming is screwing up nature’s intricately timed dinner hour, often making hungry critters and those on the menu show up at much different times, a new study shows.”

Common sense dictates that the premise is impossible.

Even if it were true (and it’s not) that the average global temperature has increased by a fraction of a degree over the past few decades (not counting the “pause”), this would have an infinitely smaller impact than ordinary weather and seasonal changes.

If nature were not resilient enough to accommodate such variations, there would be no life on this planet.

Further, the climate varies across the globe as well. Any real climate change would simply become an environmental selective pressure to which life adapts in some form or fashion. For some animals that would mean populations spreading further north or south. For humans that could mean wearing sun block or running the AC 0.001 percent more.

Manmade global warming is just one of a massive number of efforts by the aspiring global tyrants to implement mind control on the masses.

The assault on the mind is real and takes a toll. It is a crime against humanity that needs to be treated as such with severe retribution upon the perpetrators.
