20-something headhunter: “Hi! I have a position I believe you are the perfect fit for and I’m wondering if you’re available and would consider this terrific opportunity. But before we get into that, I have your resume here in front of me and tell me, what exactly is it that you do?...”

Good for you, but I’d like to put in a good word for these hardworking folks — MY LAST TWO JOBS (WHICH INCLUDES MY PRESENT ONE ) CAME AS A RESULT OF THE HEADHUNTERS FINDING ME. This applies to a few of my colleagues too.
These folks provide a good service to both employer and job searchers and I would not put them down at all.

For me, it's more like: "Hi! I am ghjklrskgjhkr calling on behalf of headhunter's incorporated"
Me: Click. (If I can't pronounce their name, I don't want to talk with them. They could be trying to hire me to service the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. I really don't care.)
