SEOUL/GENEVA (Reuters) - North Korea has expressed its commitment to complete denuclearization of the Korean peninsula and is not seeking conditions, South Korean President Moon Jae-in said on Thursday, as the United States vowed to maintain maximum pressure on Pyongyang.
Moon said big-picture agreements about denuclearization, establishing a peace regime and normalisation of relations between the two Koreas and the United States should not be difficult to reach through summits between the North and South, and between the North and the United States.
I dont think denuclearization has different meanings for South and North Korea. The North is expressing a will for a complete denuclearization, Moon said during a lunch with chief executives of Korean media companies.
They have not attached any conditions that the U.S. cannot accept, such as the withdrawal of American troops from South Korea. All they are talking about is the end of hostile policies against North Korea, followed by a guarantee of security.
North Korea has defended its nuclear and missile programmes, which it pursues in defiance of U.N. Security Council resolutions, as a necessary deterrent against perceived U.S. hostility. The United States stations 28,500 troops in South Korea, a legacy of the 1950-53 Korean War.

In before the negative loser patrol says wont work or other negative loser harumphing.
If Trump only yields that Kim Jong Un’s father was right about Hillary lookin like a pensioner, we might make some progress...
So, which is it? ;)
Of course not. Anyone that thinks that this would be happening without President Trump in office is fooling themselves.
If at their opening meeting Kim comes out with a red MAGA hat on, will that be enough evidence?
CNN and their dem allies would rather see NK nuke the US, South Korea or Japan, killing millions, because they could then blame it on Trump. That is how sick they are.
I wonder what fat boy wants for his nukes?
Personally, in his position, I’d want to loot the treasury, collect my favorite concubines, and get first class tickets (and residency documents) for someplace that is NOT North Korea.
I'm not getting my hopes up that this deal will actually happen, but Trump could solve both the North Korean and Palestinian problems, and he would get no recognition.
Fill your hand, you son of a bitch!
And we believe them, because...?
