To: blam

I am for “free higher education that is fully paid for by American taxpayers.” As long as the student is in the top 1%
maybe 2%, regardless of race, in fields of study important to the advancement of our nation — math, sciences, etc. Most those students get scholarships anyway.

The rest need to pay their way or not go.

Sadly, this isn’t true. My son was valedictorian of his class, went to Purdue and earned a Astronautical Engineering degree. My daughter was in the top 5 of her class and went to Purdue, earning a Biomedical Engineering degree. Neither received scholarship money, in spite of trying every avenue available.

Too white and too middle class. It really was an eye-opening experience...
