CNN Reporter in North Korea Left ‘Speechless’ By Nuclear Announcement: ‘Huge Win For President Trump’(full title)

In a stunning piece of breaking news on Friday evening, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un declared that he will suspend all nuclear and missile tests, according to state media.

In a statement quoted by South Korean media, the Korean Central News Agency also said a nuclear site where that last six nuclear tests were conducted would be shut down.

“From April 21, North Korea will stop nuclear tests and launches of intercontinental ballistic missiles,” the Korean Central News Agency said.

CNN’s Will Ripley, one of the few journalists who regularly reports from the repressive Hermit Kingdom, phoned in to Wolf Blitzer’s show on Friday night to cover the breaking news.

“Kim Jong Un has announced to his country and his own people that he has completed his nuclear program, and therefore there is no need to continue developing nuclear weapons,” Ripley reported.

“This is an extraordinarily significant development, and frankly a huge win for President Trump going into these discussions, this potential summit, with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un,” he continued.

Ripley quoted a North Korean official who had optimistic words about the move: “Finally Kim Jong Un has decided to open up,” the source said. “This is a new chapter for the DPRK. He has committed himself to the path of denuclearization and will now focus solely on economic growth and the national economy. Finally he has realized the best path forward is to open up the country and normalize relations.”

I almost feel sorry for Ripley. He needs to find a new career. (Because there’s no way in Hell he’ll ever work in journalism again after giving Trump credit.)

This is especially sweet for me as an annoying libtard acquaintance only a couple of weeks ago launched a nasty verbal attack on me claiming that “your boy Trump” was going to get us into a nuclear war with NK.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Why would we want dismantled parts? Blow them up. Vaporize them.

This sounds great after 60+ years of belligerent rhetoric....I reman cautiously optimistic. Trump is not going to allow the Norks to have nor export nuclear strike capability hopefully. There was going to be a devastating war and rightly so. Winning is great!!!! Has hellary bammy Albright Pelosi Schumer et al thrown cold water on the announcement yet?

Did we even recognize North Korea as a country? I can understand it on one hand, but it always seemed to me that it doesn’t help much in solving a conflict. No meetings, no negotiations, etc. I don’t know - perhaps others have met with the Norks (other than Dennis Rodman). But - as you said, one of many benefits of having a non-politician in office.

“What do ya mean I can’t even talk to the guy? How are we gonna’ get anything done if we can’t talk? Find his number and git em on the phone! Just ‘cuz I’m talkin’ to the guy don’t mean I like him.”

However, as I’ve posted elsewhere, I think Kim ran out of nukes and/or lost the capability/money to build/buy them. Most of his army is probably also now mixing dirt with their grass to fill their tummies. Giving up his nukes and wanting to play nice might just allow him to get food into the country and may save his sorry butt.

The Chinese must have told Kim that he would be used as spare parts when he came for a recent visit.

i’m sorry, but i don’t think this means very much. it just means fatboy has got plenty of nukes that he thinks will work.

What is telling is the news to the North Korean people. That is what leaves folks like CNN speechless. Kim would never announce any news of a potential peace to his people without intent.

North Korea can’t survive without Chinese support.

And PDJT keeps hammering China on the trade deficit. Something will break there as well and I HOPE it is not an agreement for the TPP to be put in place.
