I hope Trump isn’t worried about that....

Agree - don’t need a trophy for doing your job. Just getting it done is its own reward.

As I wrote to another poster who used this quote, anyone who believes this doesn't understand Trump. He has some great strengths, but humility is not one of them. He is a once in a lifetime figure who has the potential to change the world (for the better) in ways that will effect many generations, but he will demand recognition for doing so and he will do it loudly and repeatedly. It's an integral part of his character.

If progress continues, and North and South Korea declare an official end to their war, and North Korea gives up their nuclear programs, there will most definitely be a Nobel Peace prize. It will go to Kim Jong-Un and Moon Jae-in. They will be lauded as heroes, not Trump. And it will be Xi Jinping who played the key role as facilitator. No way Trump gets credit or is in any way portrayed as a peacemaker and statesman; it will have happened despite him. The left will do their best to ensure history books describe Trump as a cross between Hitler and Forrest Gump who rode the coattails of The Great Obama to peace and prosperity...

On the other hand, this whole peace deal feels like a Lucy-Football moment. I hope it is not.
