What an odd and compelling photo, can’t put my finger on the why of it but that one just seems, well, historic. I’m no fan of Macron, nice diplomatic gesture but nothing really earthshaking about it, so it’s something else. Melania looks like she’s literally walking on air. Bridgitte Macron seems to be finally growing up with her own attire, she looks well turned out and appropriate, unlike some of her previous efforts that seemed to have come out of a teenager’s closet. That wide stance though, Michelle Obama used to do that. Somebody’s coaching them, weird as it looks and weird as that sounds. Toni Morrison stuff, dominating space.

Look at the strength in the hand grip of President Trump and with President Macron. And the gentle openness of the hands of Melania Trump.
Yes, it was a composed photo, but wonderfully done.
Mrs. Macron is pulling attention to herself by the color of the dress.
