I didn’t say that they were tourists.
If they own they DO pay property taxes and if they rent the landlord pays the property taxes.
I assume that most do not have children so there would be no educational costs.
They DO bring money.

I’ve lived here in the desert since I was a kid - 50+ years.
Some “visitors” are very generous, and spend a lot of money.
Most spend less than the average resident on a day-to-day basis.
As an entire group, they are net takers.
