Why we should have armed teachers

Should teachers and staff at schools be armed? John Stossel and Maxim Lott put together a video analyzing the question. The CPRC’s research was used in putting the video together.

More information on concealed handguns at schools is available here. There were a couple of nitpicks with the discussion. The accidental discharge in California occurred at a firearms training class outside of normal school hours. It was not a typical school environment. It would also have been helpful if the video mentioned that 18 states currently have teachers and staff who can carry permitted concealed handguns, though the rules vary considerably across states.

Parkland - armed deputies mulled whether to risk their lives by confronting the shooter and did nothing.

Waffle House - unarmed man defends himself by confronting the shooter.

Self-preservation is quite a motivating factor. Best argument IMO for arming school staff.

How is this little attention-seeker going to get attention if schools are well-defended?

I'd be ecstatic if schools proactively encouraged the education and training in firearms for the responsible adults to which the welfare of the next generation is entrusted each and every school day. But if that is asking too much of the anti-constitution liberal teacher weenies, then I'd at least be satisfied if the ridiculous gun-free zone status is eliminated from schools so that the next generation are not fish-in-a-barrel targets and the pro-constitution conservative teacher patriots can do their part in protecting the next generation without legal conflict. (And then I'd support school-choice so parents can leave the weenies who refuse to protect their kids.)

We could make schools secure but NOBODY will. We have systems in place to keep murderous monsters under scrutiny but people fail the systems. The next incident will invariably happen as the beat goes on.

The ignored threat never mentioned is about a world wide group claiming it’s authorized by the Almighty that has been attacking institutions which they perceive as opposing theology where they are in the significant minority and majority.

As far as US goes. The latest killings occurred at an institution where by policy the inmates were running the asylum. But is being portrayed as an idealized scholastic setting nationally awarded financially for its fabricated results by US. Because the policy failures which permitted the inaction to happen if disclosed would result in costly legal action. Guns and 2nd amendment supporters are targeted

Oh, and the answer to the question at the top of his post is that the bastards on the left need these periodic mass killings to advance their first agenda item to DISARM US IN ORDER TO HAVE THEIR WAY WITH US IN RELATIVE SAFETY!

It’s a warped version of the old “You can’t make an omelet without breaking a few eggs” by the child molesting pedophiles now running the Democrat party.

Cool, huh?

It's not necessary to require or solicit school personnel to be armed. Only three things are necessary, both constitutional:

1. Stop the legislators from creating "gun-free" target-rich environments that are so enticing to creative but deranged minds.

2. Stop hiring teachers and administrators who have been programmed to assert their own will, flouting the will and authority of law-abiding primary parent custodians.

3. Stop feeding high-energy developing children psychoactive behavior suppressant or antidepressant drugs.

Liberal logic dictates that rather than placing good guys with guns at the scene, you must make the scene a gun-free zone and WAIT until good guys with guns arrive from a different location.

It makes no sense whatsoever.

Most teachers cant even teach.

We need to end schools as gun free target rich envirnoments for nutjobs. Let all permit holders and law abiding be able to carry there.

Personally whether a person should be armed or not mostly depends on the individual. I individual should be calm, confident and able access a situation quickly. Individuals who are easily intimidated should not be armed. People who physically unsteady should not be armed. Anyone who brags about carrying a gun also should not.
