If NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will have a meeting with a group of cheerleaders, the two former cheerleaders who recently filed discrimination claims will settle those claims for $1 each.
The settlement proposal by Sara Blackwell, the lawyer representing the cheerleaders, asked that Goodell and league lawyers have a "good faith" meeting with at least four cheerleaders to create binding rules and regulations for all NFL teams. Also, teams that currently have cheerleading squads would not be allowed to disband them as retaliation for at least five years.

Goodell is going to make more on his current contract that what the taxpayers are on the hook for on Heinz Field (not counting interest which is the real pain the taxpayers are funding).
When your league commissioner has a contract for more money than a what a typical football stadium cost in 2001, why in the hell are taxpayers on the hook for these frigging stages for anti-American TV game shows?!?!?!?!?!!? Amazing!

Pretty much, I don’t even understand why they even have them. They seem pointless and nobody went to the games to see them.
The only reason those girls do it, is for the chance that they would get to date a player, however all their contracts forbid them for doing that. In fact, if they are in the local Denny’s and a player happens to walk in and get seated, they have to get up and leave. Its that strict, and they all agreed to it. Like someone else said, 100’s of girls are waiting to take their place.

Yes, and it’s a small minority of cheerleaders who are doing this, most of them ex-cheerleaders (read: disgruntled employees). They’re ruining for the others who want to marry well-to-do or wealthy men, which many of them do (not just the players). They’re on the team to get their MRS degrees.
