More Fake News From CNN: Secret Service Has No Record of

On Thursday, U.S. Navy Rear Admiral and longtime White House Doctor Ronny Jackson withdrew his nomination to be the next Veteran's Affairs Secretary after being accused of professional misconduct through media reports.

CNN reported earlier this week, on anonymous sourcing, that during an overseas trip in 2015 Jackson got drunk and belligerently banged on a female colleague's hotel door. CNN also reported the Secret Service stopped Jackson and that agents were worried he might wake up President Obama.

Turns out, the Secret Service has no record of the incident (bolding is mine).

"Over the last 48 hours, media  outlets have  alleged that U.S. Secret  Service personnel were forced  to  intervene during a Presidential foreign travel assignment in order to prevent disturbing (former) President Barack  Obama," The Secret Service released in a statement. "The  Secret  Service  has  no  such record  of  any incident; specifically, any incident involving Rear Admiral Ronny Jackson. A thorough review of internal documents related to all Presidential foreign travel that occurred in 2015, in addition to interviews  of  personnel who were present during foreign travel that occurred during  the same time frame, has resulted in no information that would indicate the allegation is accurate."

"The physical health and wellbeing of Secret Service personnel when fulfilling our protective mission is of paramount importance to the Secret Service. Rear Admiral Jackson, in his role as the official White House Physician, has provided years of dedicated support to the men and women of the Secret Service, often miles from home and under difficult travel conditions, in order to ensure our personnel are healthy and prepared to execute our critical mission," the statement continues. "The Secret Service is grateful for the dedicated and outstanding professional service Rear Admiral Jackson has provided to the  agency - and more  importantly -his role supporting the greater  residential protection security apparatus."

When Jackson withdrew his name from consideration, he denied all allegations of ethical misconduct.

"Going into this process, I expected tough questions about how to best care for our veterans, but I did not expect to have to dignify baseless and anonymous attacks on my character and integrity," Jackson released in a statement. "The allegations against me are completely false and fabricated. If they had any merit, I would not have been selected, promoted and entrusted to serve in such a sensitive and important role as physician to three presidents over the past 12 years. In my role as a doctor, I have tirelessly worked to provide excellent care for all my patients. In doing so, I have always adhered to the highest ethical standards."

President Trump said he is a good man who Democrats were trying to destroy.

While Jackson will not become the next VA secretary, he will continue his service as President Trump's physician.

Seems simple enough to me. If there were unfounded allegations against Jackson, they need to get the people responsible for making them & if they can’t be proven, then get rid of those people making the allegations. What’s complicated about that?

“....belligerently banged on a female colleague’s hotel door....”

Now if it were “belligerently banged his female colleague” then of course he should not be confirmed.

He should have known to belligerently bang on a MALE colleague’s hotel door, that would have been okay. /s

First, if anyone but Trump was president, the SS would be too cowardly to speak the truth by releasing this statement.

Second, why didn’t they release this as soon as the allegations surfaced.

Third, Jackson should have the right to sue CNN. This anonymous source crap has got to stop!

Ditto here. Also I wished the Secret Service would have been able to testify for him.

the entire “press” corps is corrupt to the core, so it is entirely appropriate the following is being held at the Natl Press Club:

27 Apr: WND: Bob Unruh: Anti-Trump shrinks convening to warn of ‘unfit’ president
But claim they’re not ‘diagnosing’ prez – just citing his ‘dangerousness’
So say the organizers of an upcoming panel discussion at the National Press Club to kick off Mental Health Awareness Month.
Purportedly, it’s to discuss “mental health in Washington.”
But as reflected in the event’s subtitle, “The Increasingly Dangerous Case of Donald Trump,” it is shaping up as much more of a strongly partisan political event.
On the panel is Bandy X. Lee, whose 2017 book “The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump” is prominently promoted in the event’s publicity...

Another panel member is Jim Gilligan of New York University.
He teaches Retribution in Criminal Justice: Violence and its Relation to Manhood.
Betty Teng, another expert, wrote at Vox shortly after Trump’s election about how she was helping people traumatized by the election...
Panel member Ed Fisher of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, according to his bio, has “wide-ranging” interests, including peer support for health care and research on cancer, diabetes and mental health...

Lastly, there’s Michael Tansey, who though announcing he will be “not diagnosing” the president, was a contributor to Lee’s book “The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump,” and has lectured on “Trump and Delusional Disorder.”

words can’t describe how low these people are.

The anonymous source might be a CNN employee who was on the trip, but no where near the supposed incident. They might have mede up the story out of their imagination. Fake News.

Character assassination cost us the service of an amazing and talented man.

Will the fake news media apologize? Of course not,

Where do you go to get your reputation back? This is exactly why many decent people decline public office.

Its not worth when you’re being savaged in the media.

And we never did get to consider how Dr. Ronny Jackson could have helped out Vets.

Tester made the comments about Adm Jackson in public not on the senate floor Adm should sue his and others who made these comments in public.

Well, whatever, it worked. So why are we allowing this to happen, it works for them every time, and yet we sit still instead of taking it to DC in mass protest. They have been doing it to Trump every day for fifteen months and it will eventually work again.

The left has been using bogus allegations against good people for decades. Unfortunately, since the tactic works—it wins elections and causes good people to drop out of nominations—it will not end any time soon. And the tactic only works against conservatives; it is useless against liberals because they have no ethics of morals.

Until we come up with a good defense against character assassination, we remain vulnerable, and we keep getting pushed further into the cesspool.

get rid of those people making the allegations

Not just those making the allegations -- the ones reporting the allegations without determining if there is even a shred of evidence they are false should be crushed.

Kurt Schlichter is absolutely correct when he writes that the Left (i.e., Democrats; progs) hate their fellow Americans who disagree with them ... the Left/Democrats/progs must be stopped -- with whatever it take -- for our Republic to survive their unrelentless attacks.
