Once again, the First Amendment offers no protection against consequences. Say what you want but bear the burden of your words.
The issue is not so much what they say, it is that colleges and universities are hiring people routinely that are ignorant of reality and apparently incapable of exercising sound, reasonable judgment . . . two characteristics that should disqualify them from teaching young people.
Protected by tenure, yet youd never get tenure without passing the leftist litmus test.
