Gillibrand is a dirty hypocritical opportunist lightweight. Her family connections and I believer her mother was a sex slave to a powerful Albany NY mayor, Erastus Corning, connects all the dots here.

Senator Cutie-pie will never become President Cutie-pie. Even though she still looks like a sorority girl. She already has the unmarried female latte-sipping vote locked up but that’s only 2%.

Did you read your article before posting? It tries to totally debunk the idea that Sen. Gillibrand has anything to do with the story. The author maintains that she has nothing at all to answer for here.
I guess when she referenced “slut-shaming” she knew what she was talking about.
Her "amazing" rise in politics started by running against a popular Congressman, Joh Sweeney, and she got the NYS Police to provide her a 911 tape of Sweeney's wife at the time who was apparently drunk. That sunk Sweeney a day before the election, amazing how that tape just appeared on her lap the day before the election that she trailed.

The best I can get out opf the article is that she isn’t involved, but probably knew what was going on and looked the other way. Not illegal but does smack of “the appearance of impropriety”.
I don’t believe it’s at all corrupt, suspect or unusual for a state probe to be suspended once the feds come in.
More like her great grandmother. Erastus Corning died in 1872.
On further looking, it appears that it must have been Erastus Corning II, who met her mother in the 1930s.
It was Corning II and Noonan was her grandmother.
