Probably better to view as "delay" than "lose." Once the Iran military projection (nuke) and terrorist support ends, business will be booming in Iran.

This is what it’s all about. This has always been what it’s all about. The Germans in particular have a very mercenary interest in selling stuff to Iran. I remember as an exchange student in Germany having this discussion with my professor. I said Germany’s interest here was purely profit. He, being an old 60s hippie, claimed doing business with Iran would moderate their behavior and make them less aggressive. I remember that conversation like it was yesterday.

I graduated from college in 1994......
