i am unconvinced. Stefan Halper was never in the Trump campaign. They’re trying to hide the fact that they planted a CI into the Trump Campaign.
It’s unlikely that Stefan Halper is that CI. He could be the handler of the CI (I think Carter Page), but he’s not the CI. He may be a facilitator of the Steele Dossier.
Carter Page inserted himself into the Trump campaign because he’s a contagion. Somebody with pre-existing FISA monitoring to produce a pretext for monitoring Trump.
As I read the report and the comments after, I kept wondering why all of this is being held so close to the vest. Then I had a thought...I wonder if the DOJ is stonewalling because of the involvement of John McCain?
Since he’s admitted he’s the source for Comey receiving the dossier, could it be DOJ is holding back waiting for him pass?
Could his involvement be deeper than previously thought? If it were to come out now, his “legacy” is at stake here. Certainly wouldn’t look good for him.
Just a thought.
The only problem there is that Carter Page has effectively been “outed” already anyway — just based on everything that is publicly known about the guy. He’s so fully exposed that the DOJ didn’t even redact his name from the documents linked in the article.
