That was one of the smartest things they could ever have done as a nation. Look at things leading up to that. The failed CIA supported coup attempt to remove De Gualle, then our repeated plans to gain operational control over French nukes.
But ultimately who could blame them? I sure wouldn’t want to have a permanent large group like NATO in America. I wish someone had the balls to expel the UN.
