In general, throwing bricks at someone with a gun might be considered a poor decision.

"In general, throwing bricks at someone with a gun might be considered a poor decision."

Indeed, but the Gazans have been making poor choices for generations. You are dealing for the most part with minimally educated tribal folk taught from early childhood to hate those successful Israelis on the other side of the fence.

With 40-60% unemployment rates, depending on who you listen to, there are a whole lot of able bodied men sitting around waiting for the next supply trucks funded by the United Notions and other stupid organizations which continue to feed them. The only ones with hard currency for the most part are the smugglers and the few being paid by the Hamas controlled government. Two million people crammed into 140 square miles of rubble and coastal desert with no future. The Egypians and Jordanians don't want them and they don't have the abilities, knowledge or ambition to do anything legitimately productive. The Israelis would love to evict them and put the land back into productive use but nobody will take them. As long as the UN, Iran and other militant Sunni nations continue to feed them they will remain a political basket case.
