I prefer the translation that says: "He shall be a wild ass of a man...."
Many “modern” folk scoff at the Bible (Torah) but in it, it states,
Genesis 16:12 ESV / 57 helpful votes
He shall be a wild donkey of a man, his hand against everyone and everyone’s hand against him, and he shall dwell over against all his kinsmen.”
Now whether you believe or not, this DOES INDEED appear to be the case with what we actually see in the world. It’s our choice to believe in this or call it nonsense but, look all around us in our modern epoch...look at Islam.
Some wild donkeys ranged near me for a few years. Once in a while, a tourist would try to pet one of them, and a donkey would bite the tourist severely.

They are perfect villains in God’s plan. Violent, hateful, cruel, stupid, lying, and almost totally devoid of redeeming qualities. Like the Nazis in a Spielberg movie. Most of the world will cheer when they get it.
