The Department of Justice (DOJ) has asked its inspector general to look into whether or not the FBI surveilled President Trump's campaign for "inappropriate purposes."

“If anyone did infiltrate or surveil participants in a presidential campaign for inappropriate purposes, we need to know about it and take appropriate action," Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein said in a statement.

It will take years for the FBI and DOJ to win back the faith of the citizens.

Yeah, like 10,000.

Trump Tweet: "I hereby demand, and will do so officially tomorrow, that the Department of Justice look into whether or not the FBI/DOJ infiltrated or surveilled the Trump Campaign for Political Purposes - and if any such demands or requests were made by people within the Obama Administration!"

1) Doesn't FBI/DOJ REPORT to Trump? Shouldn't Trump ORDER this investigation?

2) DOJ investigates itself??? I don't think so.

Inspector Clouseau can handle it.

Have the pink panther at the FBI/DOJ send the file.

Halper will be paid via some DOD project.

He won’t be on the official books, and he’ll be unreachable to OIG.

OIG can’t charge, he’s produced zero indictments to date. He doesn’t have the tools to make people talk.

Need a Prosecutor, Grand Jury, Subpoena Power, Power to charge people right after they lie to you.

This guy is powerless and impotent to any real Spying effort. Which uses assets of other Intell agencies, murky contractors, and overseas actors.

This has to play out... think long game. If Trump/Sessions cleaned house immediately and indicted FBI/DOJ people just because Trump tweeted he was wire tapped, imagine the media and Dem/Lib attacks with very little evidence in the public light. Now that evidence has been dripping for over a year and even many corners of the media now are saying it, more of the general population is going to be looking more closely. This is a monumental political struggle...Think of Trump as trying to turn a large cruise ship around on a dime. Not going to happen....but given time, evidence and pressure on those who the heat is being turned up on, just watch it unfold. Yes, it will take a while and have many twists and turns as the DC elite (rep and dem...they’re in this together), the media, Hollywood, the EU, etc., etc., push back.

OIG cannot produce indictments; he can only publish his reports. He is an internal affairs investigator.

Rosie is scamming us.

There really isn’t much to investigate. All documents related to this spy and prosecute all those involved.

Inappropriate reasons?

Drive a semi truck thru that qualifier. The government thinks everything they do is appropriate. No limits. Killing, weapons trafficking, drug running, burning alive, gassing, shooting pregnant ladies with a baby in her arms, shooting your pets......

All appropriate.

“Is this enough?”

NO. A thousand times no.

The weasel rides to Trump’s rescue????????????!!!!!!!!

Where is Jeff Sessions? The informant case is not Russian collusion, although there is not much daylight between Rosenstein and Jeff. They are probably dining over steak and wine at this moment.

Sessions ALSO recused from any questions on either campaign in 2016.

The worthless POS.

But Halper is a US Citizen and we have extradition agreements with Britain.

But you’re right, it takes a US Attorney to initiate extradition with any country.

You are correct. A special counsel must be appointed. In addition, the IG has his hands full and is already behind schedule.

Yep. Where the hell is sessions?

This is not Russian collusion BS. Sessions need to fire Rosenstein overstepping or trump fire sessions for not doing his job

And that means that Sessions is complicit in that usurpation.

I do not care how many Dimensions of Chess he is playing, he is violating his Oath!

“If anyone did infiltrate or surveil participants in a presidential campaign for

INAPPROPRIATE PURPOSES

Exactly.

There are ZERO Appropriate reasons to spy on Trump's campaign.

ZERO.
