Don Blankenship isn’t done being a thorn in the side of the GOP.

The ex-con former coal baron announced Monday morning that he plans to run as the Constitution Party’s nominee for Senate, a move that could damage his former party’s chances at defeating Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) if he’s able to actually get on the ballot.

Some people just can’t put their egos aside for the good of the overall cause.

Don Blankenship's only cause is Don Blankenship.

DNC. However, he might pull more votes away from the democrats than the Republicans.

Murkowski of AK won in the general as a write-in candidate after losing big to a Tea Party candidate in the primary. Low information voters up there got exactly what they asked for.

H. Ross Perot was correct, and Bush was a total loser.

Is this guy a victim of Obama’s relentless persecution of evil coal?

Or is he really a bad guy?

Obama HAS tossed people in jail for minor infractions that had never been prosecuted before. (Like Dinesh D’Souza)

Could be both. One does not exclude the other.

I doubt it. He was found guilty by a unanimous verdict from a jury of West Virginians.

If he actually goes through with this, he’s guaranteeing that Manchin will win. I think that everyone in the Republican Party in WV needs to be asking him how much the Dems, or one of their big donors, is paying him to do this.

Sore loser laws are about as effective as gun-free zones.

Who’s paying him? Stephen Halpern?

Who is Stephen Halpern? A distant cousin of Stefan Halper?

Since you asked: Nothing. Zero. Zilch. Nada. Too many people in the southern coal fields remember him from the Upper Big Branch mine accident that killed people.

He’s running to whack Sen. Manchin upside the head (figuratively) without getting sued for slander or libel under the law. Blankenship can do this because he has piles of money & doesn’t care about anything except bashing Manchin.

Mainstream GOP members are caught in the crossfire.
