“as Libya did in 2003, North Korea should turn over its nuclear program to the United States”

Yes. It’s a good idea and the way it will happen.

Nothing like being on the side of the NORKs.

These people are truly deranged.

The Norks don't want to be seen dealing with a "minor functionary" like Bolton. Kim is an important world leader, you see, and he only deals with The Donald himself.

Face.

He's with Ploughshares Fund.

I’m not going to call the little communist, Fat boy anymore.

You know, the Nork’s dictator? The one with the funny haircut.

It appears that Kim is sane and has learned well from Dennis Rodman.
Huh?

With a little prodding from his Chinese masters.

This is going to work out.

“or that Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi was killed in 2011 after the United States and European allies attacked the country.”

“We came, we saw, he (Quaddafi) died” cackle, cackle, cackle.

The she-witch was one of the worst SoS in the history of our country.

Telling the Norks that we would follow the Libya model means to them

— give up your nukes now so we can assassinate your leader later.

I usually like Bolton and hope he didn’t make such a stupid statement.

It’s probably not a good idea to call it the “Libya Plan.” Kim Jong Un might think that through and realize that the next Democrat president will wipe his unarmed country out.

The North Koreans aren’t going to agree to unilateral disarmament.

If they have to get rid of their nuclear weapons, they will want side guarantees for their security from China and Russia.

They will never agree to allow the US to oversee a denuclearization process.

If the US won’t compromise, Kim will take his chances and ride out the sanctions.

He won’t put his own country at risk. Neither would Trump.

I'm pretty sure he made that statement. I couldn't believe it myself when I read it cited. Those George W. Bush administration globalist war-mongers haven't gotten any smarter over the years.

It's only a small bit better than telling North Korea that they should adopt the Hiroshima/Nagasaki model of nuclear disarmament.

The author of this piece is 100% correct.

I still can't understand why Donald Trump would name a National Security Advisor who would have been a perfect fit for a cabinet post in a Yeb! Bush administration.

Doubtful. North Korea isn't going to turn anything over to anyone.

In a negotiation, neither side gets everything, both demand more than they expect to get.

Bolton has only one real function: ‘Bad cop’.

It’s not Bolton’s ridiculous plan.

It’s the ONLY plan.

In return, we can offer a ratified treaty.

Choose.

Exactly.
Who in the their right mind would agree to giving up their nuclear weapons so they can be dragged through the streets and brutally killed like a dog afterwards by some lawless angry mob?
Last thing you want to do is even mention Lybia at all.

And your 67 votes are going to come from where?

67 votes can be had on a no-nuke treaty with Norklandia.

Depending on what the US has to give up, which would be very little.
