‘Will Jeff Sessions approve it?’
You’re kidding, right? Sessions has already turned down a previous, similar request. His logic (I kid you not): that what is being done to Trump is so bad, it should never be done to anyone else.
Sessions: the best friend Trump-haters ever had.
Let the IG finish his job and make his recommendations.
Will Jeff Sessions approve it?
Hed have to be both conscious and competent to do that. So the answer to your question is No, he wont.

I see no constitutional support for a “Special Counsel”.
1) If there is reasonable suspicion (RS) or probable cause (PC) of impeachable misconduct or crimes of a high government official, then Congress is in charge of that process and they should hire THEIR OWN investigators that report to CONGRESS.
2) If there is reasonable suspicion (RS) or probable cause (PC) of misconduct or federal crimes of lower government officials or citizens, then the FBI should pursue their normal process of investigation and indictment.
In this case, with RS or PC of the FBI misconduct, then the first alternative listed should be used and Congress should hire THEIR OWN investigators that report to Congress.
Jeff who?
Despite numerous calls from Republican lawmakers, Attorney General Jeff Sessions declined to appoint a second special counsel in March and instead assigned federal prosecutor U.S. Attorney John Huber of the District of Utah to work with Justice Department Inspector General Micheal Horowitz to probe misconduct.
(Emphasis added.)
District of Utah? How will he get jurisdiction to indict, or even subpoena, anybody when all the apparent crimes were mostly committed in DC, NY, or the Northern District of VA and most of the potential defendants live in the same places?
Meet the new unproductive distraction,
Same as the old unproductive distraction!
If this H.Res. is voted on, then all of the House will weigh in on the subject, but I seriously doubt this gets put to a vote. The point of this stunt is to get in the news.
BTW, I think it's a good move. Just saying what I see the point of it as.
The other point is that Sessions has the authority to appoint an SC without being goaded by Congress. it is possible but not likely he has already appointed a SC. The regulations allow for such appointment to be made without notification to Congress.
It is very gay to change the headline.
The DOJ exists to prosecute federal crimes. The DOJ must prosecute the criminal conspiratal cabal. And..... is
Should be a federal grand jury(s) looking into this because:
Because special counsels always work out so well.
Idiot.
Oh yea, more special councils getting paid and doing nothing.
Bad idea for Congress to interfere at this moment.
Another article:
Bombshell reveal: A grand jury already is hearing evidence on DOJ and FBI scandals
FTA: We are on the verge of a huge political explosion. While there have been calls for a special counsel to investigate the DOJ and FBI scandals, and many conservatives have been outraged at the seeming passivity of “Gentleman Jeff” Sessions (aka Sessionzzz in some quarters), it now is clear (as I have already figured) that a grand jury far outside the Beltway already is hearing evidence dug up by DOJ inspector general Michael Horowitz, whose report is now believed to be coming in April. Following release of that report, expect heads to explode all over the media, all over the Deep State, and among NeverTrumps.
And they will name a deep state lawyer to head it, staff it with democrats, and the circus will continue.
Rosenstein pulled the Wool over Trump’s eyes, spun him around and kicked his Butt. Let the DOJ IG investigate....Moronic in the extreme.
