President Trump on Wednesday demanded that federal law enforcement officials show "total transparency" about sensitive information related to the earliest days of the Russia probe.
"What I want from Rod, from the FBI, from everybody — we want transparency," Trump told reporters on the South Lawn of the White House, referring to his embattled deputy attorney general, Rod Rosenstein.
The president spoke one day before senior law enforcement and intelligence leaders are set to meet with Republican lawmakers to discuss classified information related to a confidential source who helped advance the probe into Trump's campaign.
No Democrats were invited to the meeting, fueling criticism that the gathering is a politically motivated attempt by Trump and his allies to undercut the investigation — and perhaps fire Rosenstein.
Trump pushed back on those charges, saying “we’re not undercutting. We’re cleaning everything up."

I heard that general Kelly may not attend that meeting. I hope that is wrong. He needs to be there to give orders from the president to DOJ and the FBI. If they refuse, that is grounds to fire them.
If DOJ and FBI deep staters don’t follow orders from their boss,
Trump will have no choice but to start firing for in-subordination.
If Kelly is not going to attend, there is good reason.
Trump has already seen the documents.

It’s kind of telling that Trump is using “Rod” to refer to him.
There is a small reference in the story of TheHill.com that Nunes refuses to be in the same session/briefing as Schiff. That’s all that was written.
Anyone know anything else about this?
I don’t blame Rep. Nunes a bit. My guess is that Schiff would be disruptive during any session/briefing.

‘Rod’ is either a secret Trump ally, or Trump is giving ‘Rod’ all the rope he needs to hang himself. I think its the latter, JMO.

I agree. I think Trump knows this. And I think that Trump now has something (DOJ/FBI misconduct) to put the screws to ‘Rod’ without being accused of interfering in the “Russia” investigation.

The Schumer/Peosi demand is either cancel the meeting, or call a gang of eight meeting. The insist (their word) those are the only two options. They have not offered or request to attend, and I'm sure they have no intention of attending.
The Politico headline is utter falsehood, unless "include us" is code for "gang of eight and nobody else."
