452 Caravan Migrants Broke Into U.S

The lion’s share of so-called ‘caravan migrants’ are said to have broken into the U.S.

Homeland Security officials say up to 450 illegal aliens from the group have arrived in the U.S.

Officials say at least 200 intruders will be released under the ‘catch-and-release’ program. Some 1,500 migrants traveled with the caravan from Central America through Mexico. 330 of them are said to have entered the U.S. through border checkpoints, while 122 illegals jumped the border.

Officials said they can only press charges against several dozen of the illegals due to weak immigration laws.

“Entering this country illegally is a crime,” said Thomas Homan, Acting Director for Immigration and Customs Enforcement. “If there are no consequences for sneaking past the border, overstaying a visa, skipping immigration court, or even committing crimes while in the country illegally, there’s gonna be no integrity in the entire system.”

Okay, then if you want to break it down that way, those claiming asylum should be housed and only allowed to roam freely when a determination has been made.

Otherwise, you take them back to the border and jettison them into the nation they came in through.

Once again, what do we have border people for?

If the door is always open, then shut down the check-points.

What’s so hard to understand about this?

We’re a nation of patsies.

I’ve got to go somewhere shortly, so I can’t watch your videos.

If I were the person in charge of border security, I would raise holy hell until something was done to get our border under control.

This is sickening.

I would go directly to the press and scream bloody hell until some action was taken.

No, I wouldn’t consider my job to be the top priority. Nobody should.

This was what my grandmother would have called a Real Shitshow.
Think about it.
The media starts screaming the caravan is coming!
Trump goes on tv and says...oh no no, we can’t have that. I know, we’ll send the National Guard.
The people show up at the gate.
Sessions goes down to give a speech about how..... oh no! You can’t just come in!
Trump sends a whole bunch of attorneys and judges down there. (I said at the time it would be to expedite them).
We find out months later 95% of them were let in to disappear forever.

I’m just really sick of the shitshows.

The reason these people request asylum is not on the books.

As defined by these agreements, a refugee is a person who is outside his or her country of nationality (or place of habitual residence if stateless) who, owing to a fear of persecution on account of a protected ground, is unable or unwilling to avail himself of the protection of the state. Protected grounds include race, nationality, religion, political opinion and membership of a particular social group. The signatories to these agreements are further obliged not to return or “refoul” refugees to the place where they would face persecution.

They don’t fit the profile at all and should be denied immediately based on that.

It would be pretty damn easy for Congress to pass an immigration bill that closed these loopholes.......,.,.if they wanted to.

Congressmen and Senators must be held accountable at the polls.

Re: “BS, credible fear my behind. Asylum has rules and actually designates the reasons for gaining asylum. Their reasons are not on it.”

“Credible fear” is the first step in the Asylum process.

DHS then attempts to verify the credible fear before the Asylum hearing.

Approximately 30% of the people who go to their Asylum hearing are rejected.

A lot of people just skip their hearing because they know they can’t get approval.

If they get rejected, they can appeal. If that appeal fails, they get a “Removal” hearing. If they are ordered Removed, they can appeal that, too.

“Catch and Release” is not the same thing as “Credible Fear.”

About 75% of the people who are detained at or near the border receive a misdemeanor citation and a court date, and then they are released.

That’s what I said. They claim credible fear, are let in with a court date and then disappear. If they’re not from a war torn country, etc. then their credible fear claims are bogus and should be automatically denied right then and there.
Don’t make it harder than it is. Lol

Whoever pulled the switch on that should be fired. Whoever let them into the country should be fired.

Send them to Beverly Hills, Malibu, Hollywood Hills, and all of the expensive places in Manhattan.

We certainly agree with all that.

I know I get frustrated and toss blame around pretty easily these days, but this rests on every politician in Washington, D. C. That includes our guy. However our guy is not tasked with writing the laws to correct this situation. Ryan and McConnell are.

To me it does include the border agents, but then they are hamstrung too, so although I’m angry about it, I will say that I understand some of their situation, but not all.

IMO, the border agents should back Trump, make it known they need help to protect this nation. They’ve done some of that previously too.

Trump has stated his veto pen is going to be at the handy for this next round of negotiating the budget in October.

This is the time for all Republicans to stand up and be counted.
