You are correct and I am wrong - I actually knew better but I did not follow my own advice and wait a few before commenting on something - Crow for breakfast ;}
That’s fine. The documentary I posted from youtube is worth watching. The only reason I know this stuff is that my father served in Korea and I’m writing a book about his experience.
Ike was too much of an Anglophone. His tendencies to support Monty over Patton to our great detriment were far too evident at the time. Thank God we have Trump at this critical juncture in the history of our great nation. The Brits have already given away their country in their socialistic daydreams. We need to protect our sovereignty above all else, Trump is doing that in every move he makes.
“Eisenhower made his deal and gave in to the utterly exhausted Chinese army that was only a skeleton force after wasting its manpower through two years of frontal attacks. One good push would then have gone to the Yalu once again but this time there was no PLA force to be injected against our guys. Ike could have Ended it on much better terms with a minimum of effort.”
“A minimum of effort” to break that stalemate, and push all the way back up to the Yalu? I’m going out on a limb and guessing you may -not- have been a grunt in 1953.
“after the untimely death of General Walton Walker in a vehicle accident eerily similar to that of General George Patton five years earlier in WW II.”
Even more eerie that Walker was in Patton’s 3rd Army in WWII
Awww heck, I say of all people you gotta natural right to say things about anything Asia! Even if you’re wrong!!

That was 52+ years ago when I was part of the Herd.
So you can understand it when a I have a “senior moment: :)
I was 10 years old in 1966. I’ve been having Senior moments for a few years myself.
You should totally discount this article. The Lowell Sun is in Mass of two $hits!
Besides, Eisenhower was too busy playing golf to go to NK.
