Yeah, I remember back when the district (CA-10 back then) went all the way to Benicia and was Republican until Ellen Tauscher beat Bill Baker by having a heckler goad him into an argument that was videotaped for a negative ad.

I was on the Coco County Republican Central Committee back in the “Bill Baker Day.” He was an egalitarian jerk who sent his kids to private school. Tauscher was the RAT “block buster.” No one could believe a RAT could live in Alamo.
