I once had a man I did business with ask me over lunch, ‘Bama or Auburn fan?’.

Guy was dead serious. I had done my research, and replied ‘Auburn.’ It was the last question he asked before signing the purchase order.

Good for you. The wrong answer to that particular question can be catastrophic. My older brother is a big Bama fan. His wife of 30+ years pulls for Auburn. Makes for interesting Saturdays. LOL

I worked with a guy that was (and still is) in a Texas mixed marriage. I made a passing remark about it to my Mom and she wanted to know if my co-worker or his wife was “the black one”.

I could barely keep a straight face when I told, ‘Ma — that’s not a Texas mixed marriage. He went to Texas A&M and she went to the University of Texas in Austin. That’s a Texas mixed marriage!’

She thought that was a hoot!
