“Free drug states get consumed by their enemies no matter how powerful they once were:”
Marijuana was legal in the US until the 1930s and we did just fine back then.
Hell, even whiskey is legal now days. And that stuff is way bad news.

Thank you.
As a former pothead, I despise marijuana.

Legalizing Marijuana is a Terrible IdeaMarijuana is bad for the health? So are alcohol, tobacco, and fast food - should those not be legal?
As for Societal Impact, the article hilariously cites "Colorado Drug Overdoses Up in Almost Every County and Ahead of National Average" - which says not one word about marijuana.

Thank you for the two incredible links. Marijuana advocates have successfully lied about the drug, its dangers and its history. Those of us who spent decades treating marijuana users know that the reality is much darker than what is portrayed.

Bad move, Mr. President. No, it's the smart move. The federal government's war on pot is an unmitigated failure, just as it was against alcohol.
Using the power of the federal government to force a change in human behavior is not just wrong - it does not work.
This is an issue best left to the states and to the people.

Eyeballing this chart, it looks like the legal states are doing better as a whole than prohibition states =>
