King David was my first thought also. People can sin mightily but they can also repent, change their ways and God can use them for His purpose.

Saul of Tarsus is another perfect example of a man who was murdering early Christians but God changed him and used him to give us most of the New Testament.

I personally believe that Trump has been placed as president by God to give us one last chance. I pray America repents.
